

Also, yes, I know the methods of being able to use your DualShock controllers on PC are not really officially recognized anywhere, but other game developers have accommodated regardless. No, it's not a deal breaker if they don't do this by any means. If you're like me and like using your DualShock controller for PC games, or like the idea of having the option to have on-screen DualShock button prompts, please shoot your thoughts over to Kojima Productions (you can even retweet me if you want).

However, this may be something Kojima Productions won't see the point in implementing unless the request becomes more vocal. So I tweeted this as it certainly would not hurt to at least have the idea thrown out there in case they have not even thought about it. People from Kojima Productions including Hideo Kojima and Ken Imaizumi have been very open to the idea of hearing feedback and suggestions regarding MGSV. It's not the biggest inconvenience by any means, but it is nice seeing some developers cater to an admittedly minority part of the audience with the option to have the button prompts show their corresponding DualShock buttons instead. One big issue that does rear its ugly head is the fact that button-prompts for many games on PC are based on the Xbox 360 controller. For me its worth it because as a personal preference, I prefer the layout of the DualShock controllers over any of the Xbox controllers that have come to fruition. It isn't a perfect set-up by any means, but it works once everything is properly configured. I dunno about you guys, but I actually use my DualShock 3 controller for some of my PC games that don't feel right with mouse and keyboard.

This wasn't happening at all and the experience was absolutely perfect until I booted up Ground Zeroes again for a quick play yesterday I noticed it happening on Ground Zeroes and it is now happening on The Phantom Pain as well. I've tested many different graphics settings, turned off NVIDIA control panel HBAO and turned it back on, turned on and off V Sync, changed resolutions, ran in fullscreen and fullscreen borderless, nothing's working. I've tested on two different displays and the tear remains in the same place no matter what I do. I'm getting one constant vertical tear in the middle-ish right part of the screen, regardless of V sync being on or not. I'm having a weird problem that just recently started occurring on both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. It's an excellent place to start for budget PCs, and a great base on which to scale for those with more capable rigs.

In matching the PC version's presets to PS4 and Xbox One, we can transfer across the developer's chosen balance in terms of image quality and performance on an entry-level gaming platform. However, both PS4 and Xbox One appear to get volumetric clouds this time, allowing for rolling cloud shadows around the Kabul wasteland. Model detail on console is slightly worse than the PC's low setting, causing more pop-in across foliage and rocks. The only change from the default mode is in two areas. PS4 and Xbox One fall very close to the PC's default settings, placing individual presets at either high or medium quality, making this setup perfect for more budget-orientated gaming rigs.
